Howdy! A Giveaway from Kate Roman

Man, between my day, my furry family and an unseasonable cold, I feel like I hardly have a minute to write, let alone chat, these days! That's why I'm so pleased to be able to come visit with y'all today :)

I've been treating my cold with lots of the hottest m/m romance I can find, and I can tell you, it's working a treat! I'm certainly feeling better, anyhow. Torquere's Specials page is definitely a girl's best friend!

To help with the hotting up, my latest Sip, Hot Austin Nights came out last month. As the name suggests, it's a whirlwind tour through Austin in the company of disillusioned student Dan, and hot-hot cowboy Cord. Get yourself some hot summer loving, and see if Austin can weave its spell over you like it always seems to over me!

In case you missed it, here's a link to my post over on the Happy Hour entitled Eat and Drink Your Way Through Austin. It follows Cord and Dan's culinary adventures (you'll have to check out Hot Austin Nights for the other kind of adventures ;D) and believe you me, did it get my mouth watering. (Yes, I'm still talking about food!!)

Me, I just love the tacos. So tell me, what's the tastiest thing you've found in Austin? (Or elsewhere, for that matter).

Meanwhile, if you're tired of the modern day and age (and believe me, I feel that way every time I walk into work!) don't despair. Man of the Cave Bear, one of my favorite stories, comes out on Wednesday.

Taran, rising to manhood with his clan, is sent to hunt a savage, one of the fearsome bear-like beasts inhabiting the mountains above his home. From infancy, Taran’s been taught to fear and hate them, but Taran’s savage, Roke, has other ideas, and after a night of passion, Taran cannot bring himself to kill his new companion. Instead he returns to his clan with a lie on his lips and an ache in his heart. But when the clan discovers Roke near their village, they take to the warpath. Torn between his clan and his heart, will Taran leave everything he’s known for a love he could never have imagined?

All I can say is, 'ware pterodactyls!!

If you'd like to win a copy of Hot Austin Nights, drop me a note here, or by email to romankate@gmail.com. Winner will be drawn on Wednesday morning, but all entrants will receive a tasty treat in their inboxes!

Everyone should check out Sixth Street in Austin at least once. ;)Been awhile since I've been there, but it was lots of fun! Don't know too much about places to eat there, but if you want to drive three hours north to Ft. Worth and you like good Mexican food, go to Joe T. Garcia's. Be sure and eat outside on the patio if the weather is nice. :)

Would love to win a copy of Hot Austin Nights! Thanks for the giveaway!

I hope you get over your cold soon!

I've never been to Austin, but in the spirit of spicy foods my favorite ethnic food is Thai. There's a little place in Nashville that I've been going to for more than 20 years -- both when I've lived in town and when I've lived elsewhere -- called Thai Kitchen. If you like Thai, you should look it up if you ever get over that way!

And please enter me for your book drawing, thanks!
