Sick day - make me feel better

Hey, there - I have an upper respiratory that's making my throat absolutely raw. I'm babying myself with hot tea and the Torquere blog. Come keep me company and make me forget my sore throat.

A couple of weeks ago, I was in New York City for the first time. It was exciting, over-stimulating and amazing. It was gorgeous and tacky all at once. I took pics, of course, and this is one of my favorites.

What's your fav memory of NYC? Some other big, loud, crowded city? Tell me, tell me!

Poor baby...Make sure you put honey in that tea! It helps, promise!

I don't do big cities if I can help it. We have learned that it is best for me to avoid crowded places. I had a panic attack in the aquarium in Baltimore when the DH and I were dating, and then nearly 10 years later, I nearly had another one in Pike Place Market in Seattle. Now, we try to stick with less crowded days or places. I like small to midsize cities, like Savannah, GA, or Chattanooga, TN. Speaking of which, if you ever have the chance to go to the aquarium in Chattanooga, jump on it!! It is, hands-down, one of my favorite high-school-family-vacation memories.

Aww, hope you feel better soon, hon! I've had an annoyingly persistent cough for the last week or so, so I totally sympathize!

I'm neither a city nor a country mouse, myself -- huzzah for the suburban lifestyle, I guess -- but I got to spend some time in Atlanta about a year ago for a cousin's wedding, and since I went sans children, I got to spend hours just wandering around. It was a fun place to take pictures. (Door Night Sunrise)

Feel better soon, it is the time of year here in the Mid-Atlantic for colds because of the change of seasons.
I love New York as a place to visit not live or work in. A friend and I try to go once a year to either sightsee or see a Broadway show.

Feel better.

I have to admit, I loathe NYC. The last time I was there I spilled a box of promo in a moving doorway and people literally stepped on me and ignored me.

My fav big city is Rome
