It's almost June and that means it is time for the GCLS convention. For those of you not familiar with the GCLS (Golden Crown Literary Society) you can visit their website here:
GCLs is an organization all about the enjoyment, discussion and enhancement of lesbian literature. If you are a writer or reader of lesbian centric stories then this is the organization you need to be a part of. Now onto the con. Every year GCLS holds an annual convention. That's right. An entire event dedicated to fans and authors of Lesbian Lit. This year we will be in Orlando Florida for the fun and sun. Imagine 4 days of nothing but women and books. Whooo. You'll find not only the top names in the business there but also be able to enjoy panels, classes, readings done by them. Also they have a wonderful vendor's room to stock up on the latest must have books in the genre and a chance to meet the authors in person and get your books signed.
There are appointments to pitch to editors and chances to not only have fun but get educated as well. Saturday night hosts the big event of the con, The Goldie Awards, for the best books of the year in lesbian lit. It's not to late to get in on the fun.
Tickets are still on sale at the GCLS site along with more info about the con. It happens from June 8th-12. I will be there with free lesbian themed goodie bags, special gifts and some great extra free goodies if you buy a book from me. I hope to have copies of my newest release on hand, Women Gone Wylde.
A dollar of every book purchased from me at the con will benefit Breast Cancer Research and you will get a pink rubber ducky as a souvenir. Hope to see you there.
